They begin at the headwaters of famed Brandywine Creek among Amish farms in the Welsh Mountains of Chester County, Pennsylvania, and roughly follow its valley through farmland and woods; over green rolling hills; past mills, forges, and battlefields; and by houses and farms, into Chadds Ford and the outskirts of Wilmington, Delaware.
