When we were young the 1950s

Om boken

After the hardships of World War II, the 1950s were the perfect opportunity to resume normal boring everyday life. Lots of new things came in: TV in people's homes, Andy Pandy, The Archers, American imports such as 'the teenager', Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe.

Cartoonist Tony Husband transports you back to a lost world of free school milk, beatniks and teddy boys, men in homemade jumpers who smoked pipes and Saturday morning cinema for the kids.

It's guaranteed to make you laugh.
