Travel. The thought of it fills you with excitement, you go somewhere with someone, experience things. But there is another kind of travel. Our societies are built around the grind of work-eat-sleep. The phenomenon of commuting and business travel is central to our daily lives. But this travel is anything but exciting. It is mundane, a necessary evil. Stressful. But also waiting. Boredom. Even lonely. Since we are so many doing it, entire cities are built around its infrastructure. Airports, central railway stations, metro stations, tram stops and bus stops. This book illustrates the monotony and loneliness of commuter travel in juxtaposition to the joy normally associated with travel. The images in the book are centered around the places where so many pass by but almost nobody meets.
